About Rob: Rob Bozell is a native of Omaha. After earning BA and MA degrees at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he spent over 45 years as an archeologist, much of that as Nebraska’s State Archeologist. His professional interests include past foodways, Indigenous archeology of the past 2,000 years and working with Tribes. He has authored a variety of technical reports, journal articles, book chapters and research monographs, and this year co-edited the book, “Below Nebraska: Archeology and Ancestors.” He retired in 2021 but remains active in research and consulting.
