Science of Communication

Join UNL's Audiology, Speech Pathology & Special Education teams to examine human communication development and rehabilitation across the lifespan, and advances in special education research and practice. Specifically, event activities will focus on cutting edge research to develop new methods and therapeutic in the areas of voice, swallowing, neuroscience, brain imaging and hemodynamic monitoring for cerebrovascular stroke treatment, augmentative alternative communication (AAC) technologies and brain-computer interface (BCI), hearing acoustic signals in noise, cochlear implants (CI) and bone-conduction devices, neuroimaging the 'hearing brain', and advances in multimodal learning and literacy models in special education.
