Our Elephant Hall exhibit will temporarily close starting August 19.

This is for an update of the exhibit’s lighting, and the safety of the crews and visitors due to the scaffolding and equipment needed to make these updates. We anticipate the exhibit space (with Archie and our other mammoth fossils) will be closed for 3 weeks. The museum’s remaining exhibits will be open and unaffected by this work. Thank you for your understanding.

Working in small groups students will examine parts of a bison, make predictions on the use of these parts, and then present their findings to the class. As a group the students will tell the story of the bison as recorded by Native peoples of Nebraska.
