DESCRIPTION
Utilizing the National Geographic Photo Ark Exhibit on Morrill Hall’s first floor, students will learn about endangered species and the threats that these animals face. Students then work together to brainstorm solutions to the extinction crisis and learn about the work that young people are doing around the world to save our planet’s animals.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
Using the artwork of Nebraska photographer Joel Sartore and information from the IUCN Red List, students work in small groups to discover the causes of our extinction crisis, present their findings to the larger group, and work collectively to present solutions that could be implemented on a personal, national, or international level.
