Volunteer at the Museum

Volunteers play a major part of fulfilling UNSM’s mission of promoting natural history and world cultures through research, collections work, educational programs, and exhibits. Volunteers can provide museum tours, assist or run hands-on activities at public programs and events, and work in the Research Collections.

All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. While a background in science can be helpful, it is not required. Training on volunteer job duties and expectations will be provided.

SERVICE-LEARNING COURSE OPPORTUNITIES

The University of Nebraska State Museum is not offering service-learning opportunities in the Spring of 2025. Applications for Fall 2025 will open in August.
