Astronomy Night
April 15, 2023
Join us for a night filled with all things space. Morrill Hall will be open late just for this event.
Time: 5:00-9:00pm
Pricing: Included with admission (members get in free). Current admission discounts including Museums for All ($1 for those qualifying for WIC/SNAP/EBT) are valid for this event.
Parking: Free parking in lot outside Morrill Hall
Tickets: Advance tickets are encouraged to streamline admission process, but not required.
Activities
- Be a part of our “Community Gallery” by creating your own masterpiece from space using the Observing With NASA kiosk
- Live planetarium show: Nebraska's Spring Skies (tickets are separate)
- Meet Lincoln's NASA ambassador and find out how celestial objects are named
- Explore how data from space telescopes is represented using visible light.
- Space-themed scavenger hunt
- Build a Rocket: create your own rockets, space shuttles and lunar craft out of LEGO bricks.
- Additional hands-on activities from our community partners.
Special Planetarium Show
Sit back and relax as you watch the sky come alive in this live-narrated planetarium show. Listen to the stories from Greek mythology about the constellations visible in Nebraska’s spring skies and explore amazing celestial objects.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased from the museum front desk at the standard planetarium show pricing. Stargazer level museum members get in free (acquire free ticket at front desk).
